First Thursday Art & Music Show at Trinity

Thursday October 6th, 2011   7PM – 10:30PM (with afterparty)

Trinity Nightclub unveils it’s new First Thursday Art & Music showcase in conjunction with Pioneer Square’s Nationally-renowned weekly First Thursday ArtWalk

There will be separate, but cooperative exhibitions of music & visual art.

MUSIC:
The Trinity debut of “The Skratch Lounge” Dj Exhibition
feat Guest DJ’s Pjilla & Boski
Hosted by Groove Techs (DJ’s Bamboo & Spinja).

ART:
First Thursday Street Art Show featuring artists:
Ryan “Henry” Ward – Starheadboy – Xavier Lopez Jr – Tnglr – Jay Mason – Mantisart

The Music Schedule will be:
7-9:30: Open Skratch Cypher
9:30-9:45: Showcase
9:45-10:30: Skratch Panel

It will be a “DMC”-style DJ exhibition of scratching, juggling and DJ trickery, made popular by famous DJ’s such as world champion QBert of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz & MixMaster Mike of the Beastie Boys.

The DJ’s will be set up in a multiple-turntable “roundtable” in the middle of the room,
DJ’ing with/against one another, in a freestyle session of improvisation.

While the DJ Exhibition is going on, there will be a visual art display around the walls of the main room of Trinity, with some of Seattle’s finest up-and-coming street artists, displaying several pieces each, including last week’s Seattle Weekly Cover Artist Ryan “Henry” Ward.

This event is free to the public & is 21+ Beer, Wine & Full Liquor Available

Followed by Trinity’s Long-Running Thursday Night Party “freeBASS Thursdays” with 3 rooms of DJ’s, NO COVER, $1 SHOTS, $3 BEERS & $5 BACARDI Card Room Hosted by The Skratch Lounge, with Party sets from the Guests.
