Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission facing $300,000 shortfall (King 5 News)- UGM is trying to figure out how to make up for a huge shortfall, but says that they don’t just need money, they also need volunteers.

Bottomfeeder Heads to Pioneer Square’s Version of New Orleans (Seattle Weekly) – And as opposed to what one might initially think, “bottomfeeder” is actually the guy who writes for SW doing food reviews. He recently wrote about Pioneer Square’s “New Orleans Creole Restaurant.”

Millstream gift shop founder retires; store returns to Pioneer Square (Seattle Times) – As founder of retires, new owners are moving Millstream Gift Shops from Westlake back to its original home in Pioneer Square (woo hoo!).

Ragin’ Asian: Screamin’ Techno & Hip Hop Beats @ The Last Supper Club (Seattle Weekly) – A review that started as complimentary towards the Last Supper Club, but quickly turned to a negative review of the downstairs area of the LSC.

Guajillo’s: A taste of Mexico City near Pioneer Square (Seattle Times) – Although slightly outside of Pioneer Square’s boundaries, this review suggests that you should go try this place soon. With great prices and “surprisingly delicious” foods, it’s actually open until 8pm on Fridays, and 9pm on Sat and Sun.

McGinn’s the man; New mayor sworn in at City Hall (Seattle PI) – “Revitalize Pioneer Square” (I know.. it’s the first time you’ve heard me mention it) is talked about at the end of this article as one of the more popular ideas on McGinn’s Ideas for Seattle site.
