11 Dec Video Footage of Drug Deals draws attention of Komo4 News + Police

A local Pioneer Square resident is fighting crime on his own by videotaping drug deals from his apartment window. We posted the video earlier this week, and apparently it has become so popular on YouTube, it attracted the attention of Komo4 news.

It’s sad that it took videotaping these drug deals (which are held in the open), and posting them on YouTube to finally get some more attention from the Police Department. I know that they have budget cuts and their own struggles, but the drug dealers/users obviously feel very safe on the streets of South Downtown.

A note of caution: please be careful when videotaping or calling 911 if you’re out in the open. It is great to get involved and try to help, but not if you’re endangering your safety.
