CoCA’s 24-hour painting marathon

Last night, I stopped by old Elliott Bay Book Co location to witness the amazing CoCA 24 hour marathon. Although some artists were taking naps, others were working away, trying to finish as much art as possible for the art auction.

I didn’t grab the artists’ cards for these two pics, so if you know them, feel free to add it to the comments

Although I didn’t take pictures of every artist, there were a few that caught my eye:

Clare Johnson, who I declared to have the patience of an angel, was painstakingly adding dashes to this piece:

In another wing of the space, Geoffrey Rene Garza was using a turkey baster and a dropper to create this gorgeous piece of art:

Unfortunately, the art auction is already sold out this year, but good luck to all of the 30 artists who are participating this year!
