Delicatus now open!

But how do you pronounce Delicatus?

I’m so glad that you were wondering — per their website, it’s pronounced “del-i-kot-uhs.” Though I hope that it doesn’t become like La Quinta. I worked there for a while and I can’t tell you how annoying it was when everyone who called asked if they had reached “la qwin tuh.”

The real news is that Delicatus has officially opened! Although their website says they open March 15, they also had previously listed they were opening in January, and February, so I assure you the info is correct. The most exciting thing is that they are open past 5pm!

I encourage all residents to make an effort to go there often (especially after 5pm) so that they realize it’s a good decision to stay open late. It gives more options than Jimmy John’s and Taco Del Mar (much as I love them).

(thanks to Lisa for sending me the photos. Even though she apparently took a bite of her sandwich before she realized she wanted to take a photo of it)

Update: Delicatus is located at 103 1st Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98104.

Hours: Mon.–Thurs.: 11:30am–9pm;

Fri.–Sat.: 11:30am–10pm.; Closed Sunday
