Eco Encore Used Media Drive

I meant to post this last week, but forgot (obviously). I was almost too embarrassed to post it, but I apparently have no shame.

Also, I decided that even though I missed telling you about the actual used media drive (which ended yesterday), you can still do some good to the environment by donating your used media.

So, here it is:

Eco Encore was running a used media drive that coincided with the UN Climate Change Conference (COP15) happening in Copenhagen this month. And it ended the drive Nov 30th. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t still donate! Here is the link to Eco Encore’s website: link.

EE’s website says that they love our used media, and when someone says that they love something, you should help them get it (except for the homeless that say they love drugs or alcohol… you should just report that).

Their offices are located in our fabulous Pioneer Square Neighborhood — but if you’re too lazy to walk down there to donate your stuff, here are instructions from their website for how to donate:

a) Get together your gently used Books, DVDs, CDs and Software:

  • Take down your CD towers
  • Downsize your personal book and DVD library
  • Conduct a donation drive in your neighborhood, school or place of work

b) Print the donor form and include with your donation

c) Send to Eco Encore: Ship your donation via US Media Mail – this is the least expensive way to go. Mail to:

Eco Encore
Attn: Media Donations – W001
900 1st Ave S, Suite #205-B
Seattle, WA 98134

And although I missed posting this in time, you should still go check out their website on Dec 7th, when they’ll post the amount of donations they received (they were hoping for 2,000 pounds).
