Town Hall Meeting tomorrow

Although it has a ridiculously long acronym, PSIDCPDA (Pioneer Square, International District Community Preservation & Development Authority) is working to “preserve and protect the unique character of the two districts.”

On Wednesday (Nov 11), they are hosting their annual Town Hall meeting where people can come and learn more about the organization and about their new grant program.

PSCIDCPDA wants to hear from community members regarding potential projects that will benefit both neighborhoods. At the meeting, they will review a draft outline of the project and funding criteria, as well as discuss the process to create a 2010 Work Plan for the organization.

Rep Santos, Rep Pettigrew and Senator Kline will be in attendance at the meeting, as well as former Director of Seattle’s Dept of Neighborhoods Jim Diers.

p.s.  this is what I was talking about in regards to becoming more involved in your neighborhood — especially if you are a residence of these neighborhoods, make sure that your voice is heard and that we’re making the best decisions possible for our neighborhood.
