Open houses for new First Hill streetcar

The city is hosting a series of Open Houses on potential routes for the new First Hill Streetcar. Their goal is to “educate residents and businesses about potential routes and get feedback.” (via DJC – subscription only)

The line will connect the International District, Pioneer Square, Yesler Terrace, First Hill and Capitol Hill. Although the line goes from Capitol Hill and stops at King Street, there are possibilities for connecting all of the downtown neighborhoods by streetcar (starting with the SLU Trolley, continuing down 1st ave downtown, connecting up with the King Street Station and then up into 1st Hill and Capitol Hill).

Dates + Locations:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 15, Seattle Central Community College (6 – 8pm)
  • Wednesday, Dec. 16, Yesler Community Center (6 – 8pm)
  • Thursday, Dec. 17, Union Station (6 – 8pm)
